Portion sizes have ballooned out of control over the years. An average bagel had a 3 inch diameter in 1990. Today it's twice the size and more than twice the calories. The list below will help you get your serving size right.
* 1 oz of cheese - 4 stacked dice
*3 oz of meat - a bar of soap
*3 oz of fish - a checkbook
*1/2 cup of pasta - a computer mouse
*3/4 cup of stir fry veggies - over half of your plate
*1 cup of fresh fruit - a baseball
