Ever wonder what's in your food. If you have ever read the ingredients on the back of a food box, surely you have stumbled on a word or two that might not be familiar. I enjoy researching these words. What are they? Are they good for my family? If not ,why, what harm can they do? I also enjoy finding simple, healthy recipes. I have a few health conscious family members and friends who are always sharing new tips with me. Here is where I can share them with you.

Peanut butter at 45 calories. mmmmmmmmm. I like!
Peanuts slow roasted then pressed to remove 85% of the fat & oil. This product is in a powder form that you mix with water. I also use it in my shakes mixed with frozen grapes, and unsweetened silk almond milk to fulfill my peanut butter and jelly craving. They sell PB2 in Alma at Anytime Fitness for $6.00. Or Kroger in Waycross (health food area) for $4.50.
The nutrition breakdown.
For 2 tbsp: Calories 45 vs 200 for reg PB.
Fat:1.5, Sat and trans fat 0

YES, I can have my Peanut butter and eat it too.
Megs awesome salmon cake recipe:
Per 1 large can of salmon (try to use Sockeye):
1 beaten egg
1 diced green onion (or any onion you have)
¼ c Italian bread crumbs (they have the spices)
1-2 tsp lemon juice
½ - ¼ tsp spicy mustard
1 pinch cayenne (sauce is spicy too, so to your taste)
1-2 pinches turmeric
Pepper
Mix all ingredients – makes for patties. Lightly olive oil the bottom of a baking pan.
Bake on each side approx 5 min at 425 degrees.
I like them browned a little, so then I put on Broil for another few minutes if they aren't already.
